Audi partners with Grupo Hager and SMA Solar Technology to charge electric vehicles in the home   MADRID, 13 (EUROPA PRESS)   The automobile company Audi is closing agreements with the suppliers of home energy management systems SMA Solar Technology and the Hager Group, for the charging of their electric cars.   As the company explained, Audi takes electric mobility "beyond" the car by offering its customers the possibility of a sustainable and customized recharging system. To that end, the brand aims to connect its e-tron electric model with the electrical infrastructure of the user's home.   "In accordance with our premium quality standards, we want an electric car that adapts perfectly to the connected home in an intelligent way, to provide added value to the customer", assured the Director of Product Marketing at Audi, Fermín Soneira.   For its part, Audi offers the 'compact' charger as standard, which allows the model to be recharged with a power of up to 11 kilowatts (kW). In addition, optionally, the brand offers the customer the 'connect' charger, which doubles the power up to 22 kW.   Among other functions, the 'connect' charger connects the model with the infrastructure of the home through the domestic Wifi network and, together with a home energy management system (HEMS), allows functions Smart charging   With the 'connect' charger and a 'properly' equipped HEMS, the system can recharge the vehicle's battery when electricity is cheaper, while, at the same time, consider other individual mobility requirements, such as time of day. output and the level of charge.   Also, if the home is equipped with a photovoltaic system, the customer can prioritize the charging process to use the energy generated without emissions.   "That is why we have partnered with the two main suppliers of home energy management systems, the Hager Group and SMA Solar Technology, which provides maximum comfort when it comes to recharging", explained Soneira.
